Alright, alright. So I guess this is my first post, although its really cheating because I haven't made it anywhere yet. Tomorrow is the great, er, czech out (like, this expression has been worn within an inch of its life, I know. But I'm plum out of new ones.). That means goodbye to 14-hour a day snoozefests (that's literal and figurative), skulking sulkily around my house all day with Mum cleaning up (angrily) after me, drunken day long lunches chez parents with Dad's concise contributions ("I don't trust Russians" Well, ca fait deux, if you know what I mean) . Hello to cabbage, pork, beer and incomprehensible customs. Well, I'm told by those who know that the Czech Republic is really no different than America. But Russia, that holy grail.... There's a never-never land for you. In that: I will probably never get there.

So, to update T.S. Eliot: In short, I'm scared titless, witless, shitless and any other word you can think to rhyme. Let's hope I won't need much of that where I'm going.

ps Sarah posted that picture. I know its no good, but I don't know how to get rid of it.

Spell it right

It is barnes and blog rolled into one! And sounds eastern european at the same time.
